Why the Data Exists
Football data is used to generate questions, validate answers, build searchable footballer lists and keep matches fair. Team logos are not required for gameplay; fallback colors and text may be used when rights are unclear.
Search Normalization
We normalize names for search so entries such as João/Joao or Turkish dotted and dotless I can be found without changing the canonical display name.
